Information about Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme

• After the successful implementation of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 1.0, the Government of Assam launched Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2.0.
• The scheme is one of Assam’s largest self-employment and entrepreneurship promotion initiatives under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
• The main objective is to encourage self-income generation and promote entrepreneurship among unemployed youths, especially from BPL and low-income families.
• The scheme is also known as Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme, Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan, and Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan.
• Eligible youths are provided free skill and entrepreneurship training for a duration of one month.
• After successful completion of training, beneficiaries receive a one-time stipend of ₹10,000.
• Trained youths are eligible for an interest-free entrepreneurship loan along with a government grant (non-repayable component).
• Loan assistance is provided in two slabs of ₹2 lakh and ₹5 lakh, released in two instalments.
• Beneficiaries can start income-generating activities in sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, dairy, poultry, garments, packaging, plantation, fabrication, hardware, and other self-employment ventures.
• The minimum educational qualification required is Class 10 pass (including SC/ST/OBC categories).
• The age of applicants must be above 28 years and below 45 years as on 1st April 2024.
• Registration for the scheme started on 1st February 2025 through the official portal Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Website .
• Applicants can apply online by paying a registration fee of ₹200 (General) and ₹100 (SC/ST/OBC).
• It is estimated that around 2 lakh youths will benefit from the scheme over a period of two years.

Eligibility Requirements of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• The age of the applicant should be between 28 years and 45 years as on 1st April 2024.
• Educational Qualification (Non-Professional Courses):
  • Minimum Class 10 pass for General category
  • Minimum Class 10 pass for SC/ST/OBC categories
• Educational Qualification (Professional Courses):
  • Minimum 4-year degree in Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or Fisheries
• The applicant must possess relevant skills or knowledge to start an income-generating activity.
• The applicant must have a bank account opened before 1st April 2024 in any scheduled commercial bank.
• Registration with the Employment Exchange Office before 1st April 2024 is mandatory.
• The applicant must not be a loan defaulter with any scheduled commercial bank.
• The applicant or any family member should not have availed benefits under CMAAA 1.0.

The following documents are required while applying for entrepreneurship training under the Assam Government’s Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2.0:

Application process of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme

1. Eligible unemployed youths can apply for free entrepreneurship training under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2.0 through the online application process.
2. Visit the official portal: Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan Portal and click on the Online Application Form .
3. Register by clicking on the Sign Up option and enter the following details:
4. Enter the security code and click on Send OTP.
5. Complete the registration after successful OTP verification.
6. Log in using the credentials received via SMS or email.
7. After login, click on the Scheme Registration Form to apply under Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme.
8. After OTP verification, the online application form will open. Fill in the following details:
   • Personal details
   • Contact details
   • Educational details
   • Bank account details
   • Upload required documents
9. Pay the online registration fee: ₹200 for General category and ₹100 for SC/ST/OBC categories.
10. Click on the Submit button to complete the application.
11. Download and print the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
12. Submitted applications will be verified by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Assam.
13. After verification, selected candidates will receive training details and the financial assistance will be transferred directly to their bank accounts through DBT mode.
14. Online registration under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2.0 is open from 1st February 2025.
