• Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent.

2. Forest Guard

• No. of Posts: 110
• Scale of Pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 + Grade Pay ₹5,600
• Educational Qualification: Minimum HS (10+2) passed or equivalent.

Other Criteria of BTC Recruitment 2026

Residence

Candidates must be permanent residents of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area. Candidates belonging to the newly added 60 villages from Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under Udalguri District of BTC area are also eligible.

Employment Exchange Registration

Candidates must have their names registered in any Employment Exchange of Assam .

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 40 years

Age Relaxation

• OBC / MOBC: 3 years
• SC / ST (P) / ST (H): 5 years

Medical Standards

• Candidates must not have squint eyes and should possess high colour vision.
• Distant vision must be at least 6/6 in one eye and not poorer than 6/9 in the other without correction.
• Near vision should be normal for both posts.

The selection process for Forester-I and Forest Guard posts under BTC Recruitment 2026 will be conducted in three stages:

1. Physical Test

• Walking Test:
  • Male Candidates: 26 km to be completed within 4 hours.
  • Female Candidates: 16 km to be completed within 4 hours.
• Qualified candidates will undergo a Medical Examination.

2. Written Examination

3. Viva-Voce
